From 16 to 23 October 2025, we took part in the international Erasmus+ training course “Through Markers & Lenses”, held in Mollina, Spain. The project was organised by EuroMuevete and brought together 23 participants from seven countries: Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Latvia and Jordan.
It was an intensive week full of creativity, colours, new ideas and international connections. The main focus of the training was graphic facilitation and visual communication – using drawings, symbols, simple graphics and digital tools to make communication more engaging and effective.
Throughout the workshops, participants explored different ways of presenting even complex topics through images. We learned how to use visual elements when working with young people, facilitating workshops, presenting ideas and creating educational materials. We also discovered how traditional drawing techniques can be combined with modern digital tools.
The project created a space for experimentation, exchanging experiences and learning from one another. It showed us that you do not need to be a professional graphic designer to use visual communication in your work – sometimes a few simple symbols can communicate much more than a long presentation full of text.
Project result – Visual Guide
One of the main outcomes of the training is the Visual Guide, created based on the knowledge, techniques and experiences collected throughout the project.
The publication includes inspiration and practical tips for anyone who would like to use visual tools in education, youth work, social activities and everyday communication.
